Radiologist
Duties and responsibilities:
A radiologist is a physician who
is also an imaging expert with specialized training in obtaining and interpreting
medical images obtained by using x-rays or radioactive substance or by other means such as sound waves or the body’s natural magnetism . Nearly all physicians examine patients, obtain medical
histories, diagnose illnesses, or prescribe and administer treatment for people
suffering from injury or disease. According to American Medical Association
statistics, 1.2 percent of those physicians specialize in radiology. A
radiologist correlates medical image findings with other examinations and
tests, recommends further examinations or treatments, and confers with
referring physicians (the doctors who send patients to the radiology department
or clinic for testing). Radiologists also treat diseases by means of radiation
(radiation oncology or nuclear medicine) or minimally invasive, image-guided surgery.
Salary: $277,107 -$497,537 (a year)
Education: The first
postgraduate year must be ACGME- or RCPSC- accredited clinical training in
internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery or surgical specialties, obstetrics and
gynecology, neurology, family practice, emergency medicine, transitional year,
or any combination of these. Credit for accredited training in other
specialties may be granted on an individual basis after submission of the
appropriate documents to the ABR. Also five years of approved training, but one
year in clinical training
Reflection: the salary with this job is amazing but in
the beginning but my purpose to check out the medical felid is because I need
to know, also im forced to follow this step. This is an informational message
